HRG Chief Scientist Sun Yu Gives a Speech at China Robotop Summit

The fourth China Robotop Summit and Intelligent Economy Talents Summit was held in Yuyao, Jiangsu Province, on May 16th and 17th . Sun Yu, HRG Central Research Institute’s Chief Scientist attended the Summit as one of the speakers.


This summit was held by the government of Zhejiang Province and supported by Ministry of Economy and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. Besides the exhibition showcasing robotic products, the event also highlights an inspiring discussion joined by leading experts and business people in intelligent technologies and smart manufacturing from China and abroad. The topics included robotics trend and manufacturing upgrading.

 

Sun Yu gave the speech at the summit

 

Sun Yu is currently academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and Professor at the University of Toronto. At the Summit, he delivered the speech on application of nano robots in healthcare and manufacturing. Following the brief introduction of nano technology concepts and history, he illustrated how the nano robotic system are operated at nano level with examples in reality and the system’s great potential in manufacturing and medical markets. Examples include how the technology can contribute to increase the success rate of artificial insemination.

The nano robot was developed by Professor Sun and HRG (Hefei) International Innovation Research Institute, which demonstrates HRG’s capability in cutting-edge technology. Professor Sun has pioneered in research on nano robot and biological microelectronic engineering. His accomplishments are widely acknowledged by international engineering and medical experts.

 

Micro and nano operation robots of HRG


Nanotechnology is at the apex of today’s science and technology advancement. Comparing with traditional robots, nano robots are distinguished for features like hyper sensitivity and ultra-high precision, and are capable of performing all sorts of observation, testing and operation works in extremely tight spaces that are impossible for the traditional ones.

The nano robot developed by Professor Sun and HRG provides one of the kind nano operation system with displacement feedback sensor of super high positioning precision, which allows for nano-level positioning accuracy while moving in ranges above the centimeter-scale. The robot have been outfitted with position detection sensors and can actualize automated programmable movements, while the optimized design was performed specifically for usage in SEM vacuum environment, thus they are noteworthy for features like rapid installation and convenient dismantlement.
